Done on Arches paper, prints in this series are individually signed and numbered by the artist. Editions are limited to 100 prints each. There are two sizes: small, when matted, fits a 9x12 or 11x14 frame. Large prints fit a 12x16 frame. Small prints are $35 each including shipping. Large prints are $50 including shipping. |

There is nothing like a western North Carolina backpacking trip to rejuvenate the soul! Pisgah National Forest is located southwest of Asheville, east of the Smokey Mountains. On weekends it attracts many outdoor enthusiasts, though an hour off an established trail will leave one in complete solitude. The weather is always problematical; on this trip there were not many clear days - especially in the upper elevations. The paintings of Black Balsam and Sam Knob were opportunistic - whenever I could get a glimpse through the mist, I painted like mad. |
